By the time of Malachi, God's people had been back in their homeland for awhile. But sadly, temple worship was now done begrudgingly, and most people didn't even bother to tithe anymore! Learn more about the last prophet and God's plan all along to send the perfect and final cure for our hearts' disease... His Son, Jesus Christ.

This Tale of Old is based on the true story found in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible, in the Book of Malachi. Be sure to check out all 12 minor prophet books in this Tale of Old collection series. Each book also comes with a simple art & craft exercise questions for parents to solidify the main points of each minor prophet book.

The Tales of Old collection came to mind when we were systematically going through the Old Testament with our young children. Although there are countless children’s books about David & Goliath, Jonah & The Whale, etc., we were hard-pressed to find any good resources on the minor prophets as a whole. As Christian parents, we believe that all Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching… yes, even the obscure and often neglected minor prophets!

Breaking them down was not an easy task, as these prophets spanned centuries and covered various periods of time such as the United Monarchy of Israel, Divided Monarchy of Israel, Assyrian Invasion of Israel, Babylonian Invasion of Judah, Babylonian Exile, and The Return. The most beautiful part however, is how they all point to Jesus Christ. We pray that this simple resource will be a blessing in your home, as it has been in ours.
